Dianping The "Yelp of China"

Note: Dianping is currently not available as an Alipay mini-program due to platform competition. Additionally, Dianping now supports food delivery services following its merger with Meituan.

Step 1: Search

Search for "Dianping" in the WeChat Mini-Program search bar.

Step 2: Login

Open the mini-program and log in to your Dianping account.

Step 3: Translate

Activate the translation feature (via the WeChat overlay menu) to translate the interface.

Step 4: Browse Restaurants & Deals

Browse restaurant listings to find food you like. You can often purchase "in-store packages" (vouchers or set meals) directly in the app for a discount.

Step 5: Order Food Delivery

Select the "Takeout/Delivery" option to order food to your location.

Tip: If the app requires a local phone number and you don't have one, enter your hotel's reception number. Be sure to add a note asking the rider to leave the food at the front desk.
