The world's longest inland river isle. It is recommended to take the Sightseeing Train directly to the Statue of Young Mao Zedong for photos to avoid the scorching sun.

Enter from the South Gate. Visit Yuelu Academy (岳麓书院), one of the four prestigious ancient academies, and Aiwan Pavilion (爱晚亭). Feel the cultural heritage of this millennium-old institution.

One of the best-preserved historical streets in Changsha. It is a food paradise! Walk on the ancient stone pavement, admire the old architecture, and 'eat your way' through authentic snacks like Stinky Tofu and Sugar Oil Baba.

A world-class museum. The must-sees are the Mawangdui Han Dynasty Tombs artifacts, including the well-preserved body of Lady Xin Zhui and the incredibly light Plain Unlined Gauze Gown (素纱单衣).

An old street with granite pavement. It retains the layout of old Changsha but is now filled with retro vibes, coffee shops, and modern boutiques. Great for a relaxed 'vintage style' stroll without the crowds of big malls.

The busiest commercial street in Changsha. It connects to many food alleys. Buy some 'Black Classic' Stinky Tofu as a souvenir and feel the bustling vibe of Changsha before heading home.

茶颜悦色
A must-drink in Changsha! Recommended: 'Youlan Latte' (幽兰拿铁) and 'Sheng Sheng Wulong' (声声乌龙). The cream top with pecans is the soul.

黑色经典臭豆腐
Crispy outside, tender inside, and filled with spicy soup base. One bite and the juice bursts in your mouth. The gold standard of Changsha snacks.

笨萝卜浏阳菜
The 'Queue King.' Pickled Cabbage with Vermicelli (酸菜炒粉皮) and Pan-fried Eggs with Chili (香煎金钱蛋) are must-orders. Authentic Hunan home-style taste and very affordable.

天宝兄弟
A paradise for crayfish lovers. Their Signature Shrimp (口味虾) and Luo Xiao Bao (罗小宝) are superb. Although slightly pricey, the taste is authentic and spicy.

The Universe Center. Most convenient transport, food and fun are downstairs. Cons: Expensive and noisy.
Only 1-2 stops from Wuyi Square. Much better value and quieter. Good for students.
River View. If budget allows, choose a river-view room here to enjoy the night scenery of Xiangjiang River directly from your room.
