Known as the "Little Potala Palace," this monastery is best visited in the morning for the best light and Tibetan-style portraits. Bus No. 3 or No. 16 goes directly there.

A seasonal wetland where you can see the "Water Highway." Navigate to "Ring Road" (环湖路) or "Bantu Erfei" (半途而沸). Bus No. 12 circles the lake, or you can rent a car/scooter.

A massive, colorful prayer flag circle perfect for photos. Navigate to "Big Prayer Flags" (大经幡) or "Diqing Tibetan Public Security Bureau" (迪庆藏族公安局).

Home to the world's largest prayer wheel. The night view is stunning, but it is less crowded during the day. Best atmosphere at night.

A fairytale world with alpine lakes, primitive forests, and friendly squirrels. Take the dedicated bus from Moonlight Plaza (月光广场) tourist center.

Features the Shambala Stupa (natural pyramid peak), Zhuomalakang, and the Grand Canyon. Canyon Rafting is a popular activity here.

Famous for the "Sunshine on the Golden Mountain" (日照金山) phenomenon. Recommended to stay at Feilai Temple (飞来寺) or Wunongding (雾浓顶) to catch the sunrise.
