Essential Tips

Travel Tips

  • Sun Protection: Strong UV rays on plateau! Use physical protection (hats, sunglasses) and hydration.
  • Transport Traps: Haixi Corridor bans cars. Don't take cars from drivers offering "cheap attractions"—scams.
  • Clothing: Large temp difference between morning/evening. Bring a thin jacket. White/Red dresses look great for photos.
  • Itinerary: Don't circle the lake in one day. Split Haixi (Cycling) and Haidong (Driving) into two days.
